The primary reason for leakage in showers or balconies is the aging and breakdown of grout or silicone sealants. Such deterioration is commonly a result of slight structural adjustments or settling occurring within the key boundary joints of the shower enclosure or balcony. Though the application of silicone or the use of liquid sealers can appear to address the issue, these methods often serve as temporary measures, providing short-lived solutions rather than permanent repairs.
Generally, it’s not required. The culprits behind leaks in showers or balconies are usually not the tiles themselves, but the grout and silicone joints. At AlphaSealed WA, we have the expertise to carefully extract the grout and silicone from these joints and replace them with our specialised epoxy grout products, targeting the actual source of the problem.

Clean your shower by using warm soapy water and a soft bristle cleaning brush. Never under any circumstances should you use bleach or other harsh chemicals to clean your shower, it will lead to damage and discolouration of tiles and grout.
